Announcement of Merger between Maine College of Art and Salt Institute for Documentary Studies is likely this Week

Ray Routhier reported for the Portland Press Herald of a merger between Maine College of Art and Salt Institute for Documentary Studies will likely be announced on Tuesday, April 12th.

The Press Herald and Routhier have reported extensively since 2015 about discussions of a future partnership.  The Maine College of Art in Portland was founded in 1882 and Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in 1973.
