"Embracing the Legacy," at Georgia Highlands College

An article in the Rome (GA) News-Tribune on September 10, 2015 features a presentation by four founding faculty members who served Floyd Junior College when it opened in 1970.  The institution became Georgia Highlands College in 2005.   Harold Boyd, former Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. James Cook, Professor Emeritus of History; Mr. Jerry Shelton, Professor Emeritus of Physical Education; and Tom Melton, who was over the Finance Department, shared their observations.  The Georgia Highland's library hosted the event, “Embracing the Legacy,” as the institution looks forward to the Inauguration of the institution’s fourth president Donald J. Green, Ed.D., on September 18th.
