Chevy Chase School & Junior College (MD)

The Chevy Chase Historical Society supports an impressive online exhibit showcasing some of the larger Julie Rude Thomas Collection of Chevy Chase History.  The exhibit includes multiple pages of images and text highlighting various aspects of campus life for the young women who attended.  The institution was founded in 1903 and occupied the former Chevy Chase Inn.  It was initially known as the Chevy Chase College for Young Ladies, closing in 1950 when the campus served as Operations Research Office for Defense Department during Korean War.  The site is now used as National 4-H Conference Center.
