Kellie Woodhouse reported for Inside Higher Ed on September 16, 2015 that Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia approved a change in name for Georgia Regents University. Augusta University will be the new name for the institution created when Augusta State University merged with Georgia Health Sciences University in 2012.
