Urban College faces Closure

The Boston Globe reports that Urban College has suspended classes for the fall term and may face closure.  The two-year institution was founded in Boston, MA in 1993.  It has a unique history, growing out of Action for Boston Community Development's Urban College Program that was created in 1967 to meet the unique needs of working adults.

Update:  Johanna Kaiser reports in the July 30, 2012 issue of the Boston Globe that Urban College has received enough donations to open for the fall term.

Update:  Deirdre Fernandes reports in the June 3, 2013 issue of the Boston Globe on Urban College's 18th commencement.  The institution enjoyed a 30% increase in enrollment for the spring semester.
