Guadalupe College, Seguin, Texas

Guadalupe College: A Case History in Negro Higher Education 1884-1936, authored by Anne Brawner, was presented to the Graduate Council of Southwest Texas State University in May 1980. Brawner concludes that Guadalupe College formed a part of the larger history of black education in the South after the Civil War and its development paralleled that of many other private institutions for blacks operating during the period.
