Southwestern Assemblies of God University is now Nelson University

Southwestern Assemblies of God University is changing its name.

The institution was founded initially via merger of three small bible schools as Southwestern Bible Institute in 1943. It later was known as Southwestern Bible College. In 1963 the name was changed to Southwestern Assemblies of God College and then again in 1994 to Southwestern Assemblies of God University. In 2024 the name was changed to Nelson University.
