Alliance University in New York, NY announced that it will be closing in August 2023. Christianity Today posted "After 140 Years, Alliance University Will Close," on July 1, 2023 with reporting by Emily Belz.
The institution was founded as the Missionary Training Institute of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. The name changed to Nyack Missionary College in 1956 and to Nyack College in 1972. Then, just this last year in 2022, the name was changed again to Alliance University.
