Pine Manor College Reaches Agreement for Acquisition by Boston College

WBUR reports on an agreement for acquisition, "Under Financial Stress, Pine Manor College to Join Boston College." A teach-out will extend up to two years and the institutions will work together to establish the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success, which will support outreach and academic support to Boston College's first-generation and low-income students. Pine Manor College was founded in 1911 as Pine Manor Junior College. The current name was adopted in 1977. It became co-ed after 2014. You can learn more by visiting "The History of Pine Manor College" page on the institution's web page.
