Iowa Wesleyan University in Mt. Pleasant, IA is celebrating its 175th anniversary. Pleasant News on February 20, 2017.
Iowa Wesleyan was founded in 1842 and assumed the name of Mount Pleasant Collegiate Institute in 1843. The name changed to Iowa Wesleyan University in 1855 and then to Iowa Wesleyan College in 1912. The name changed again to Iowa Wesleyan University in 2015.
