Indiana University Honors Frances Morgan Swain

Indiana University Archives had an interesting post this week, "Frances Morgan Swain and the League of Extraordinary (IU) Women," written by Mary Mellon that coincides with renaming of IU's Student Building to honor Frances Morgan Swain. Frances studied mathematics at IU and later served as first lady of IU from 1893-1902 while her husband was president. She was one of the founders of IU's Women's League and worked tirelessly to support women at IU and in Bloomington over many years.
