Eric Convey reported for the Boston Business Journal on December 21, 2015 that Berklee College of Music and The Boston Conservatory have agreed to merge. The Boston Conservatory was founded in 1867 and features programs in music, dance, and theater.
Berklee was founded in 1945 and prepares contemporary musicians through a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.
