Historical Images of the University of Manchester

Emma Curry of the Manchester Evening News has a retrospective look at the history of the University of Manchester.  The article includes a number of photographs from the Manchester Local Image Collection.

The university also maintains an extensive set of pages documenting the institution's history and heritage that trace back to 1824.  The university was formed from the merger of Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Technology in 2004.
