Megan Boehnke reported that Knoxville College will no longer offer classes this fall in the Knoxville News Sentinel on April 13, 2015.
Knox College was affiliated with the United Presbyterian Church of North America when it was founded in 1875. The institution initially offered students elementary through college-level programs. Elementary courses were no longer available after 1927 and the high school program ended after 1931.
Reporting on June 17, 2021 from WBIR indicating that Knoxville College is planning to reopen, "Knoxville College receives $200,000 in support from the city as it plans on reopening."
