Tennessee College for Women

The Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture offers a history of Tennessee College for Women. The institution operated from 1907-1946 and was affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Records were transferred to Belmont College (now Belmont University) in Nashville.

An interesting description of TCW's campus life and history was offered by Greg Tucker on December 12, 2010. His article describes Freshman Week activities, May Day, literary societies, and offers details of events leading to the closure of the institution.
