Vennard College

Vennard College in Oskaloosa, Iowa announced that it will be closing at the end of the Fall 2008 term. The institution was founded in 1910 by Dr. Iva Durham Vennard as the Chicago Evangelistic Institute (CEI), for the purpose of providing "effective training for Christian service." Her stated goals were to send Spirit-filled people into the ministry and to promote Scriptural Holiness. In 1951, the school moved to University Park, near Oskaloosa, where it was renamed Vennard College in 1959. Vennard occupied a campus that previously served Central Holiness University, John Fletcher College, and Kletzing College.
