I stumbled across a good blog entry by Chris Gehrz the other day on his The Pietist Schoolman blog. With the title, Between Commemoration and Criticism: The Challenge of Institutional History, Gehrz offers insightful comments on some of the difficulties faced by authors of institutional history.
The post includes a link to Bethel University's digital history collection that includes Persevere, lasare, and clarion: Celebrating Bethel's 125th Anniversary written by G. William Carlson and Diana L. Magnuson. The history was published in 1997.
